Volunteer

Why volunteer?

     You should volunteer because it makes the overall experience of the conference much better.  A handful of people cannot do all of the necessary work needed to make this an awesome conference.  This is where you come in.  Your help is invaluable.  Please look below to see where we need help and where you can fit in.

 What are the perks for volunteering?

If you volunteer for 4 hours or more before, during or after the conference, you will receive:

  1. A free ticket to the vendor hall, college fair, and conference on Saturday.  (Exceptions: Dr. Laura Berquist’s workshops and Dr. Ray Guarendi’s talk, which have an admission fee separate from the conference.)
  2. A free CD of all of the talks that are allowed to be taped.  (For example:  Dr. Ray Guarendi has a policy that his organization is the only one to tape his talks.  Therefore, you may purchase tapes from him but we will not be able to give you his talk.  Many of the other talks, though--Dr. Katie Moran, Fr. Omar, Fr. Tran, etc.--will be taped onto a CD and sent to you after the conference.)
  3. Free snacks on Saturday afternoon.
  4. The opportunity to have dinner with the speakers.  The dinner must be paid for, but only volunteers will be given the opportunity to attend.  Two dinners are available: one on Friday evening with Dr. Laura Berquist and Dr. Ray Guarendi, and one on Saturday evening with some of the other speakers: Dr. Laura Berquist, Dr. Catherine Moran, possibly Fr. Tran, etc.  More information will be available closer to the conference date.

 

PLEASE SIGN UP AS A VOLUNTEER IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THESE PERKS, AND REMEMBER THAT A MINIMUM OF 4 HOURS MUST BE COMPLETED.

 

IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND A DINNER, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO -  ngchsc@gmail.com. When we have confirmed your volunteer position, you may then register at: Volunteers Only. At that time, you may also purchase a lunch ticket for Saturday and either or both of the dinner tickets with the speakers if you wish.

Must be paid in advance.
